Ad Astra has been in the Mayan Riviera - the Yucatan for nearly six months. One month anchored off Isla Mures and the other five months in the most sublime Puerto Aventuras. Our previous record stay was Martinque for five months.

How we handle each subject is different from public school systems, we teach math and logic through programming and well, programming by programming. For English, history, and other languages we sail around on our boat meeting new people and visiting new countries. I’ve picked up a bit of French and Spanish as we sailed around.
After having an amazingly positive and swift experience building now two websites with the static website generator HUGO it was time to start focusing on the minor dynamic bits of the website. First, was to get a commenting system up and running. My ideal criteria were open-source, free, python-based and would work with HUGO.
I never really liked wordpress. First, it feels like old-tech (because it is ancient), and second good folks have kept trying to make it better and now it feels like a huge pile of slow jello (lots and lots of javascript).
Web tech sure has changed...
